Hannah Sawtell is a Freelance Illustrator and Educator based in Nottingham.

Commissioned illustration projects have included collaborations with Challenge Nottingham for RSE day, Live Drawing for The National Justice Museum, display gallery illustrations Nottingham Castle, illustrations exploring local dialect for the Arts Council and a centenary celebration for The National Trust,

in 2023, Hannah completed a Masters degree in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. During this time, Hannah experimented creatively with materials and process which continues to inform her work, in particular the use of sketchbooks to observe, seeking out stories drawing upon the world around her.

Hannah lectures at Nottingham Trent University alongside delivering workshops to schools and community groups. Hannah is committed to exploring the enriching interdisciplinary relationship between Art and Education.
