Hello and welcome to my website.  I am Hannah Sawtell, a freelance illustrator working from my Sneinton Studio in Nottingham's Creative Quarter.

This illustration journey grew from rediscovering my love of drawing when becoming a mother -earlier pieces document passing moments such as the school run.

There is never enough time to complete all the projects I have swimming around in my head, but this might be also down to my lack of patience, but whenever new projects are finished the website is (generally) regularly updated.

Please feel free to have a peruse through and see if you find anything you like!

I sell a range of limited edition prints, viewed on the prints page. My most recent pieces are based on Mary Seacole and Delia Derbyshire,  who have both  joined my portrait series which includes my everywoman suffragette.

I have begun self publishing limited edition books which as a collection -I'm hoping will continue to grow during 2018.

I always enjoy working with people on bespoke commissions when I undertake a variety of requests; please feel free to have a look.

The portfolio page showcases a range of projects, including work for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and more recently with First Art.

My 'flying dogs, cats and other animals' is a work in progress; hopefully updated soon!

I have been lucky enough to work with a few schools on collaborative pieces which are available to view on the education page.
